Project Engineer

R.F. Wilkins is currently seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to work independently, providing technical and managerial leadership on a Force Account project. The successful candidate will work on a civil/highway project as a leader.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Force Account design with construction activities.
• Assist in the management of the construction phase services.
• Work with CM, Field Engineers and Railroads to assure that Force Account activities are incorporated in the construction schedule.
• Force Account Construction Readiness: Conduct construction readiness workshops with LIRR, Amtrak and third party contractors.
• Identify interfaces and coordination between the various railroad disciplines.
• Force Account Constructability Reviews: Conduct reviews and field walks to verify constructability. Arrange field surveys as required.
• Force Account Task Activities/Work Matrix Development: Work with CM teams to develop and refine force. Account work activities. Assist project controls in the development and modification of construction schedule.
• Force Account Change Request Management: Identify and track Force Account field changes. Work with CM team to develop scope and design documents for construction changes. Prepare Force Account Change Requests (FACR's ) paperwork.
• Work with the Project Controls team to track costs of construction activities against the established budget.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and ad-hoc construction progress reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
