Position Overview:

They are seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic electrical engineering department. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while building strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical design and be passionate about delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Design:
  • Design and specify lighting, power distribution, and fire alarm systems in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Perform detailed lighting calculations, power and circuit loading analyses, and develop comprehensive design documentation.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and effectively communicating project updates and expectations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
  • Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Conduct field visits to assess project requirements, troubleshoot issues, and verify installations.
  • Documentation:
  • Produce accurate drawings and specifications for use in the construction industry, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed plans.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and documentation related to electrical systems and projects.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience:
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome; however, 2 to 5+ years of experience in electrical design within the building and construction or facilities engineering industries is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in electrical design for lighting, power distribution, and fire/security systems.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the electrical engineering field.
