ServiceNow Programmer/Developer (Level I)

Minimum Qualifications Summary

Certification & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience; or a master’s degree with three years of experience

Experience Required

  • Two years of experience developing management dashboards using ServiceNow
  • Excellent reading comprehension, writing and communication skills that include the ability to effectively communicate with personnel from various programs.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in responding to requests for information and searching automated systems for data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with developing and managing data models.
  • Experience designing and developing solutions with PaaS solutions such as ServiceNow in an Agile Software Development environment.
  • Technical proficiency with developing database queries, batch jobs, and stored procedures with PL/SQL and NoSQL.
  • Experience developing solutions using Message Services, including management of Apache ActiveMQ.
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g., JIRA), automated testing, and deployment.
  • Experience developing applications with responsive web design frameworks to support multiple platforms including compatibility with Chrome, Internet Explorer, Java, and iOS.
  • Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation.

Job Objective

Assist operations at ICE Headquarters as a ServiceNow Programmer/Developer.

Responsibilities

  • Application coding design and standards.
  • Analyzes and studies complex system requirements.
  • Designs software tools, supports software reuse and domain analysis, and manages their implementation.
  • Manages software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques, and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
  • Reviews existing programs and assists in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improving current techniques.

Work Location

Remote (Local to the Washington D.C. area as on-site attendance is occasionally required).
