Control Engineer

Position Summary: The Controls Engineer will conduct programming, new machine installation, upgrades and troubleshooting. Will work with a variety of equipment and technical systems, including, but not limited to; PLC systems, production robots, Servo systems, and SCADA systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support production by troubleshooting and programming existing and new plant automation equipment
• Program and design new and existing PLC controls
• Programming of robots
• Travel to sister plants as needed for support
• Maintain consistent schedule and timelines for projects and tasks for multiple plant projects
• Working with production and process to optimize low, cycle time issues and quality concerns through changes in programming or troubleshooting
• Help plan preventative maintenance plans for equipment
• Work to help develop new technology for the plant to improve cycle times and quality detection/prevention systems
• Help train plant techs and engineers on controls related skills
• Work with plant teams to help develop accurate quoting models

Education and Qualifications:

Education:

• BSEE or BSME Degree required
• 3-5 Years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and Robots
• Allen Bradley experience
• Fanuc and ABB Robot
• Demonstrated knowledge of ladder logic programming, PLC 5, SLC500, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, RIO, Ethernet I/P, DeviceNet
