Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer
Core Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 17:00pm
Location: Slough/Reading/London and South East areas of England.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Gas Engineer to carry out PPM and Reactive Activities to our commercial and residential portfolio, covering Slough/Reading/London and South East areas of England.
Whilst the core function is commercial combustion, there will be an occasional need for domestic boiler servicing as well. Applicants should have Domestic and Commercial Experience and Gas Safe qualifications; plumbing skills with relevant commercial experience would be an advantage.
The applicant would be expected to assist with various reactive and PPM tasks, as well as core combustion skills. This is a hands-on role and would suit an individual that can work using their own initiative and has a proactive approach to undertake all tasks required. A conscientious and reliable team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills is essential. The ability to plan and supervise their own workload, liaise with clients' representatives, and their clients is also required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- A minimum of: Gas Safe registered with relevant training in domestic and commercial gas to include CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, WAT1 as a minimum; Unvented hot water systems safety course is an advantage.
- Excellent gas knowledge of current gas regulations.
- Knowledge of a variety of Commercial/Domestic appliances and installations.
- Possess comprehensive technical skills along with extensive experience in commercial fault finding and rectification with a minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge, both domestic and commercial, of most major manufacturers.
- Good all-round knowledge of heating systems.
- Good plumbing skills.
- Good interpersonal & communication skills, flexible approach to work/clients’ requirements.
- Be prepared to work out of hours from time to time and participate in the callout rota.
- Good organisational skills and a positive attitude.
- Full UK driving licence.
