Electrical Machinery Technician

Job Summary:

As an Electrical Machinery Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment. You will also utilize a multi-skilled approach to problem-solving and testing equipment to isolate and resolve issues. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.

Essential Duties:

• Identifying faults and diagnosing problems in equipment/machinery
• Performing maintenance checks and timely repairs on machinery and equipment
• Connecting and wiring electrical apparatus and running conduit
• Utilizing precision tools and hand-held power machinery
• Generating solutions to equipment problems and suggesting improvements
• Performing other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

• 4-6 years of experience in maintenance, equipment installation, and electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs
• Technical skills to complete mechanical and electrical repairs
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
• Knowledge of electrical codes and PLC's (Preferred)
• Working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics is a plus
• Proven self-starter with the ability to work well in a team and make decisions

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, and squatting
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times
