About the Role
GHT is seeking a bright and motivated electrical design engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited college or university, with approximately three to five years' experience in Electrical Power Distribution Design. Equivalent combinations of education/experience will be accepted. Professional Engineering License is a plus.
Candidate must possess the following skills, traits, and credentials:
- Demonstrated proficiency in electrical design for commercial office building projects including utility coordination, lighting systems design, power distribution system design, fire alarm system design, standby electrical system design, and electrical construction documentation preparation;
- Working knowledge of building, electrical codes, energy codes, and applicable NFPA standards;
- Committed to client satisfaction and responsiveness;
- Motivated to excel and willing to learn;
- Able to work both independently and on teams, capable of organizing workflow and delegating tasks to others;
- Possess good visual, verbal, and written communication skills;
- Able to work independently and as a discipline leader on multiple projects;
- Proficient in the management of MEP teams;
- Proficient with AutoCAD (familiarity with Revit modeling is desirable);
- Preferred but not required : LEED accreditation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship. GHT participates in E-Verify.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test. Certain projects may have additional requirements.
- Able to travel to job sites and conduct site visits, including carrying equipment/materials; climbing, sitting, standing, walking, balancing.
