The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking an O365 Engineer with experience automating tenant configurations in a Microsoft Office 365 deployment using REST API, PowerShell, M365DSC, etc. to provide support for a critical Leidos customer. The O365 Engineer, working as part of a team, will receive guidance from senior strategists on required configurations and develop the optimal delivery methodology to deploy and maintain continuous compliance with desired configurations. The O365 Engineer will be a liaison between the customer and the end users to ensure a smooth implementation phase.
This position is hybrid, however you must be within commuting distance of the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA to go in office one to two days per week. This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance to start.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pivotal in ensuring a smooth Records Management implementation plan utilizing O365 as a platform.
Provide quality control and Mission Partner Environment (MPE) guidance and adherence to a prescribed roll-out playbook.
Guide the Records Management implementation quality control guidelines to reduce potential implementation delays.
Understanding of O365 architecture requirements to integrate it with other platforms.
Categorize functional and technical requirements based on interactions with the user community and knowledge of O365 architecture.
Recognizes, evaluates, and proposes options for meeting the functional and technical requirements required for O365 integration and configuration needs.
Cooperate with external organizations to plan project schedules and technical direction.
Accountable for creating design diagrams, testing, and documentation to support customer implementation processes.
Implement automation of tenant management and other tasks using Power Platform, PowerShell, APIs, etc.
Using DevSecOps approaches to apply automation of tenant configurations using PowerShell, REST API, etc.
Guide the Agency's automation engineers in automated deployments and monitoring of baseline configurations.
Requirements gathering, tracking tasks, assigning resources, and ensuring timely delivery of desired configurations.
Working with multiple Tenant Owners, Collaboration Partners, and Department Leadership to ensure implementations meet the required deadline and are operationally stable.
Evaluate system alternatives and assessment of implementation risks.
Responsible for PowerShell cmdlets that are available for retention policies and retention labels that you might need for configuration at-scale, automated scripts, or advanced configuration scenarios.
Knowledge of how the Microsoft retention cmdlets specific to Teams private channels and Viva Engage work and how to configure them.
Basic Qualifications:
Solid experience with O365 products and their configurations and integration with other platforms.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Purview.
BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s and 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, supporting release validation efforts.
U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Detail-oriented and excellent time-management skills.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Solid experience with O365 products and their configurations and integration with other platforms.
Experience with integrating O365 with other platforms.
Working knowledge of Microsoft File plan and configurations.
