Cost Engineer

FPC of Hendersonville is currently seeking a Cost Engineer to lead global cost reduction efforts in for a client located in Ventura County, CA. The ideal candidate will collaborate with key stakeholders worldwide to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and technology for products and manufacturing objectives.
Salary range is $110k-$130k with competitive benefits including monthly and yearly bonuses, and profit sharing.
Job Responsibilities :

• Assess supplier capabilities in design, manufacturing, and quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers to enhance delivery, quality, and cost efficiency using lean manufacturing principles.
• Negotiate contracts covering price, payment terms, and transportation.
• Estimate costs and implement Value Engineering to drive cost reduction in design and manufacturing.
• Monitor market prices, trends, and manufacturing advancements.

What they are looking for in a candidate:

• Bachelor's in engineering required. MBA preferred.
• 5+ years' strategic procurement experience in manufacturing, preferably in Automotive or Aerospace.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and MS Office applications.
• Experience with sheet metal, international sourcing, and willingness to travel up to 30%.
• SAP experience preferred.
• CAD/CAM experience preferred.
• US Citizen or Green Card Holder.
