Engineer I - Construction

RK&K is hiring an Engineer to our Construction Management team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position will work within our Construction Management group under the direction of an RK&K Project Engineer and/or Construction Manager.
Essential Functions

• Perform engineering analysis
• Study and design transportation/civil design tasks including roadway, interchanges, intersections, parking, sidewalks, trails, grading, drainage, utilities, traffic control, and sediment control in accordance with local, state, and federal design guidelines, standards, specifications and regulations
• Prepare computations, studies, analysis, and design to evaluate and resolve design issues
• Develop plans, profiles, typical sections, cross sections, geometry, specifications, and estimates
• Provide direction to CADD technicians and assist with preparation of permit applications and securing permits and approvals
• Assist with staff, sub consultants, utility, and agency coordination and public outreach tasks

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
