IMEG is growing, and we’d love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Civil Project Designer/Engineer in our Anaheim office. As a Civil Project Designer/Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis in the preparation of engineering reports, permit applications, and construction plan preparation.

Some key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Drafting procedures and system requirements of clients.
  • Coordination of municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines.
  • Complete permit applications for a variety of municipalities.
  • Flexible pavement design and rigid pavement design.
  • Geometric pavement and site circulation design.
  • Preparation of specifications & cost estimates.
  • Traffic warrants and guardrail warrants.
  • An understanding of materials and methods.
  • The Civil Project Engineer must be able to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to the specific project needs.
  • Regularly has work assignments checked by peer or supervisor.
  • The Civil Project Engineer will direct and train Civil Designers to assist them in completing reports, exhibits, plans and specifications and permit applications as required by the projects contractual scope.
  • Ability to consistently produce high quality construction documents.

Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:

  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans and drawings.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in construction.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.

Education and experience requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • 3-4 years of experience with an engineering firm required.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $127,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
