Job Description
Who we are looking for
Software Engineer with solid experience in designing, developing and deploying large and complex software projects. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for

  1. Develop/Enhance, Troubleshoot, Deploy and Upgrade existing systems across multiple platforms.
  2. Work closely with different stakeholders, and communicate project requirements and statuses.
  3. Analyze codes and data to troubleshoot and modifications of existing systems.
  4. Ensure changes are fully tested and comply with State Street CIS standards.
  5. Apply and adhere to State Street best practices, and standard operating procedures.
  6. Provide SME support across existing platforms, technologies, and systems.
  7. Address data, and environment issues, and performing impact analysis, root cause analysis, especially during Major Incidents.
  8. Participate in Agile meetings for daily updates.

  1. Build and maintain backend, middle-tier, and web user experiences using Java, J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, ReactJS, CSS3, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  2. Build and maintain applications with micro services based architecture.
  3. Manage all phases of technology development.
  4. Participate in a small, experienced team on a rapid, agile development schedule.
  5. Work on Collateral Management projects, understanding the business domain and continually develop business knowledge.
  6. Set up continuous integration jobs/pipelines using Jenkins.
  7. Tune backend queries for better application and system performance.
  8. Building and maintaining backend, middle-tier applications using Java, J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL, Spark, Hive and Impala.
  9. Good knowledge on Hadoop stack - Spark, Hive and Impala.
  10. Demonstrated familiarity with Git and Clearcase code versioning tools.
  11. Solid understanding of SQL tuning concepts.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of IT/Software Development Experience.
  2. Solid knowledge and work experience in multi-platform enterprise application architecture, development, and maintenance.
  3. Solid knowledge and work experience in Web, MQ, and Cloud development.
  4. Solid knowledge and work experience in debugging enterprise distributed system applications.
  5. Experience with Agile Development Methodologies.
  6. Good communication skills, and ability to collaborate well with different teams/stakeholders and vendors.
  7. Experience with State Street SDLC preferred.
  8. Experience in Banking Domain preferred.
  9. Excellent work ethics with ability to work independently.

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $142,500 Annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
