CNC Swiss Machinist

Overall Purpose and Main Objectives:
The Laser Swiss Technician is responsible for operating CNC Swiss style Citizen Lathes with laser cutting technology.
Responsibilities and Capabilities Include:

• Primary responsibility is to operate laser-swiss style lathes, secondary responsibilities include operating other laser cutting and welding machines.
• Load material and programs.
• Some program editing and troubleshooting
• Inspect parts using hand-held inspection tools and visually under a microscope.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues.
• Monitor and change cutting tools.
• Perform some machine maintenance
• Maintain expected production rates.
• Read and follow process instructions, quality instructions and inspection sheets.
• Quickly identify problems and quality issues.
• Record production information on specified production documents.
• Clean workstations and equipment appropriately.
• Use Global Shop accurately and timely.

Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma or GED
Experience
Minimum 3 years of operating CNC Swiss style lathes preferred
Preferred Skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• English literate, understanding verbal instructions and reading/writing written instructions
• Able to perform machining and laser operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications
• Detailed oriented
• Computer literate
• Mechanically inclined

Physical Demands:
May be required to lift up to 25 lbs
Stationary work-stand and sit (majority of shift)
Pay Details: $20.00 to $30.00 per hour
