Your contributions will drive critical interdepartmental workflows, ensuring our success in every endeavor.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of new and existing web applications.
- Develop components and enhancements and troubleshoot code issues on the DXP platform.
- Develop and maintain custom web applications and websites for university departments.
- Write secure, optimized, well-documented, and easily understandable code.
- Support the web development team by resolving technical issues related to the DXP platform.
- Provide Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server support.
- Communicate effectively with agency developers.
- Serve as a backup for other developer team members during their absence.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience may substitute for education requirements.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience required in area of expertise.
- Familiar with Responsive web design and mobile-first mindset.
- Experience working with RESTful API.
- Strong team player with a commitment to the university.
- Experience developing or remediating code to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA web accessibility standards.
- Experience with Git repositories and continuous integration/delivery.
- Experience developing secure web applications and addressing web application security issues.
- Experience developing, implementing, and customizing front-end and back-end components for Opti server CMS is a plus.
- WordPress and PHP experience a plus.
- Strong analytical skills for solving technical issues in the production environment.
- Experience working in a MS Windows Server Environment (IIS) and MS SQL Server.
- Effective communication and organization skills, detail-oriented.
- Works well both in a team and individually.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
