Mission Systems Engineer Senior

DescriptionSAIC is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer with NRO experience to provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services to a rapidly expanding Government Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This position supports a System Program Office (SPO) in a technical capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of system development and acquisitions that advance the NRO’s space resiliency posture. The Mission Systems Engineer will work in a collaborative team environment supporting systems engineering, mission analysis, and transition activities to address some of the space community’s most challenging problems.Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:Perform analysis and evaluations of systems and track resulting metricsStudy and analyze a wide variety of interesting and complex problemsAssess relevant current and future technologies for insertionEvaluate enterprise verification and validation testingReview and analyze discrepancy reportsAssess labor, schedules, and resources required for integrating, testing, validating and transitioning systemsCapture and document lessons learned and best practicesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Systems, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Test engineering, or scientific/technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experienceExperience in engineering analysis (collecting, organizing, analyzing data) and/or mission/ops/ground support experienceActive TS/SCI clearance with PolygraphEffective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skillsStrong written and interpersonal skillsModeling and simulation experience using one or more of the following desired: C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, MATLAB, VBA, or STKAbility to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and team environmentSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
