Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer working in the Bose Software Organization with a focus on Automotive Systems, you will be part of the team developing tools that enable Bose tuning engineers to deliver incredible, immersive in-cabin audio experiences. The work focuses on advancing our real-time audio prototyping platform architecture used for tuning automotive systems. You will be responsible for:

  1. Lead multidisciplinary efforts to help translate ideas from applied research through to production tuning environments
  2. Design and Develop infrastructure and applications to support prototyping and tuning on linux based PCs (Ubuntu image)
  3. Collect, Develop, and Maintain infrastructure to help validate our systems
  4. Document and train other developers and tuning engineers on new features and releases
  5. Help champion technical and feature roadmaps with buy-in from applied research, advanced development, and production teams
  6. Contribute to a thriving, collaborative, team-oriented environment

About You

  1. BS or MS in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
  2. 8+ years of software development experience
  3. Deep experience with Linux based systems for application development, administration, and deployment
  4. Familiarity with multi-threaded, real time audio processing
  5. Comfort with multiple programming languages - Python, C/C++, etc.
  6. Familiarity with networking (sockets, TCP/IP, etc.)
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and software/hardware debugging ability.
  8. Systems level integration and testing
  9. Embedded software development
  10. Familiarity with audio interfaces such as ADAT, A2B, MADI, Audio over Ethernet
  11. Automotive industry experience
  12. MATLAB / Simulink
  13. FPGA development
