What we do: Maverick Bioworks extracts lithium, other battery metals, and rare earth elements from hard rock using engineered enzymes. Our process is more cost effective and greener (reduced environmental contaminants and CO2 emissions) than the current acid roasting extraction method.

1. Protein/Enzyme engineering via directed evolution
2. Build and execute automated analytical assays
3. Bio-Process optimization for scale up leading to US Patent
