Who we're looking for:

• Electronic Systems Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to work on Multimedia, HVAC panel, cockpit and chassis switches.
• The primary responsibility of this role is vehicle development for Multimedia, HVAC panel, cockpit switches and chassis switches.
• Reporting to the Vehicle Development Senior Manager, the person in this role will work to fill Electronic Systems Vehicle's objective of building a NA electronics center of excellence that complements organization's Global direction.

What you'll be doing

• Vehicle application of Multimedia, HVAC panel, cockpit switches (window master switch, N3 switches) and chassis switches (Spiral cable, Combi switch)
• Plan structure and design of Multimedia, HVAC panel and switches through target setting, packaging and style feasibility that balances performance, customer needs and cost while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Issue design specifications to suppliers and manage supplier schedule, performance and quality
• Manage part list and issue internal design documents including engineering change instructions and wiring specifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills
• 5 years or more as an electrical design engineer
