Job Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing methods and processes to improve company products, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
This role supports equipment maintenance, calibration, and the development of standard operating procedures, while also executing validations and analyzing process data.
Based in Carlsbad, CA, the Process Engineer will work onsite as part of the Process Engineering Team, reporting to the Senior Process Engineering Manager.

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing manufacturing methods and processes to improve company products, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
This role supports equipment maintenance, calibration, and the development of standard operating procedures, while also executing validations and analyzing process data.
Based in Carlsbad, CA, the Process Engineer will work onsite as part of the Process Engineering Team, reporting to the Senior Process Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute assigned projects, including validation and changes to standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Identify, plan, and implement projects to improve capacity, cost, yield, reliability, and cycle time, as well as execute labeling system migration.
- Streamline and simplify processes with a focus on safety, quality, and waste reduction, while implementing cost improvements.
- Utilize Continuous Improvement tools to reduce process variability by monitoring yield and critical-to-quality (CTQ) factors, conducting process experiments, and executing action plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 1 or more years of experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) and formalized problem-solving techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment, such as medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency with Process Capability Analysis, Minitab, or JMP statistical tools.
