Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.
  2. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  3. Devise and implement methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  4. Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; and perform statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
  5. Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
  6. Ensure that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  7. Specialize in areas such as design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality.
  8. Manage the Chandler Integration and Test Quality Team, interfacing with and supporting all Field Site Integration and Test teams in VSFB, Promontory, Huntsville, and Wallops.
  9. Provide Launch Manifest oversight and ensure that Quality is supported at all field campaigns.
  10. Ensure that customer quality requirements are met, including reviews of Mission Assurance Contract Summaries.
  11. Measure and monitor Quality metrics, reporting progress on a monthly basis.
  12. Represent Launch Vehicles division in supporting digital transformation and continuous improvement quality initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 9 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 7 years with a Master's degree.
  2. Secret Clearance Required.

Salary Range: $108,400 - $162,500. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
