FPC of Hendersonville is seeking an accomplished and results-driven Reliability Engineering Manager with a background in engineered materials or manufacturing for a key corporate role. This role will oversee a team to ensure the reliability, availability, and maintainability of products and processes. It requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that enhance performance and support operational excellence. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Capital & Reliability Engineering, the manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of reliability engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Define objectives, track metrics, and implement development plans for team growth.
- Promote innovation and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.
- Develop strategies to enhance product reliability and process efficiency.
- Align reliability goals with business objectives and industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and set long-term reliability targets.
- Oversee reliability assessments such as FMEA, RCA, and RCM.
- Analyze trends and implement data-driven plans to boost reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate reliability from design to production.
- Ensure seamless communication between teams for goal alignment and updates.
- Lead reliability projects, managing resources, timelines, and outcomes.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance standards.
- Develop and maintain key reliability metrics and reports, providing insights to stakeholders and senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
- 15+ years of manufacturing experience, with 10 years in maintenance and reliability engineering.
- 3-5 years of proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Strong proficiency in reliability engineering principles, analysis tools, and techniques.
- Excellent project management skills with a focus on balancing multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Certification in Reliability Engineering (CRE) or other relevant credentials preferred.
- Industry experience in engineered materials or manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies.
- US Citizenship or Green Card Holder required.
Effort Requirements
- Frequent travel (up to 50%).
- Ability to interface effectively with both plant and corporate leadership.
- Persistence in maintaining engineering principles and navigating changing requirements.
- Self-motivation, adaptability, and a drive for learning and growth.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage contractors/vendors, and lead meetings efficiently.
