Software Engineer

Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Software Engineer in Midland, TX. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data & Analytics, the Software Engineer will be an integrated member of the Data & Analytics Team responsible for providing database support to all the business teams at Permian Resources.

General Responsibilities

1. Help implement, develop and support Databricks
2. Help maintain, test, and improve our existing and new SQL databases & data warehouse
3. Work with vendors on API integrations, system issues, database refreshes and more
4. Help with performance optimization techniques that allow quick and seamless connectivity for the business users
5. Design data models that ensure data consistency and integrity
6. Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Software Engineer
2. BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
3. Proficient knowledge working with hosted data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
4. Proficient knowledge of SQL and other languages
5. Proficient knowledge of modern object-oriented programming languages, Java/C++/Python
6. Experience maintaining APIs that facilitate communication between systems
7. Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teams
8. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
