Maintenance Mechanic / Electrician

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician professional to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and industrial equipment. Your attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and technical expertise will contribute to successful maintenance operations and the overall efficiency of our organization.

Duties:

1. Repair and maintain all plant equipment. Maintenance employees should have a good working knowledge of all machinery in the designated area of the plant.
2. Effectively understand and properly utilize all maintenance tools and equipment, such as welders, drills, grinders, presses, saws, and more.
3. Utilize the outlined materials and equipment for each application. Use food grade materials in food contact areas. Sanitary weld in all processing areas which must be cleaned and sanitized.
4. Safely troubleshoot and repair electrical problems.
5. Troubleshoot basic control problems.
6. Follow all plant safety rules, guidelines and other policies including Good Manufacturing Practices (or GMP), lockout-tagout, confined space, etc.
7. Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics on mechanical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly.
8. Perform ongoing preventive and repair response work orders for the upkeep of facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.
9. Comply with all safety protocols, ensure proper housekeeping, and maintain a secure work environment. Identify potential hazards and safety risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.
10. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as high as 20 feet is required.

Education and/or Work History:

1. 2-3 years of relevant experience in repairing electronic circuits, testing, troubleshooting, and manufacturing at the component level.
2. 2-3 years of experience in electrical work, encompassing AC power and AC motors.
3. Maintains good attendance record.
