Senior Data Engineer

About this Role

Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Datastage Engineer to fill an open position with one of our banking clients. This exciting opportunity allows you to partner with the Anti-Money Laundering team to support key solutions while working in a dynamic and agile work environment. You'll play a critical role in building and optimizing Datastage systems, offering technical leadership and collaborating closely with internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems
• Integrate up-and-coming data management and software engineering technologies into existing data structures.
• Develop set processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production.
• Collaborate with members of your team (eg, data architects, the IT team, data scientists) on the projects goals.
• Collaborate with internal teams, sharing knowledge, following standards, and improving software development practices.

The Ideal Candidate

• Strong Datasage skills, including making modifications, changing data sources, etc.
• Expertise in SQL database design and ETL processes.
• Experience with non-relational & relational databases (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, MongoDB, etc.)
• Required to know and understand the ins and outs of the industry such as data mining practices, algorithms, and how data can be used.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, particularly in data engineering and integration.
• Proficiency with data engineering tools like Snowflake, DB2, and Oracle nice to have
