Senior React Engineer (Hybrid)

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Full Stack engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Location Hybrid: Woonsocket - RI, Irving / Plano TX USA

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for developing the application.
2. Involved in requirement gathering, design, unit testing the application, hands-on building the modules, and coordinating with the offshore team as onsite lead.
3. A software engineer with strong coding skills (Current hands-on experience in React Js, Typescript + Full SDLC).
4. Development on React & Typescript. Experience in hybrid web applications. Expert knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues. Must have strong JavaScript skills. Extensive experience with HTML5, CSS3. Proficiency with hybrid web applications (Android, ElectronJS). Strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Attend client meetings. Develop the code. Debug the errors.
5. Developing advanced features: Creating complex user-facing features using React.js.
6. Component design: Building and maintaining reusable components and front-end libraries.
7. Code quality: Conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices.
8. Performance optimization: Ensuring the application performs optimally across various devices and browsers.
9. State management: Implementing and managing state using libraries like Redux or MobX.
10. Collaboration: Working closely with back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and product managers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
11. Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to junior developers.
12. Testing: Writing and maintaining unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure application reliability.
13. Staying updated: Keeping up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains competitive.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in developing and architecting applications on JavaScript, Typescript (ES6+), React.js, Redux / MobX / Context API, React Router, HTML, CSS / SASS / LESS, Webpack, Babel, npm / yarn, Jest / Enzyme / React Testing Library, Git.
2. Experience on CI/CD tools for Jenkins based app deploy.
3. Advance object-oriented design and design patterns.
4. Proficiency with hybrid web applications (Android, ElectronJS).
5. Experience with automated test cases knowledge in performance testing.
6. Developing and designing RESTful services and APIs.
7. Functional programming.
8. Extensive WebSocket experience.
9. Module federation with React and Angular - preferred.
10. Good knowledge on internals of Chrome browser engine - preferred.
11. Some experience in interacting with peripherals such as scanner - preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 10/12/2024.

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
