Are you looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced, innovative company? Come make history in Amazon Robotics World Wide Tech Deploy Team! As a Sr. UX Designer, you will work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, engineers and developers in a hands-on role, building personalized experiences for our customers filled with inspiration, discovery, and delight. You will craft innovative user experiences from early stage product concepts to launch, and as the multidisciplinary core of our design practice, help creatively shape and drive the customer experience.

We are seeking an imaginative, skillful, and versatile designer who has substantive hands-on experience of designing for exceptional customer experience and a good understanding of experience design for mobile apps. We're looking for an experienced designer to lead UX design for our team.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Lead and improve upon our product design process - starting from early research and hypothesis, through defining requirements, creating user flows, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision making and development.
  2. Own UX from beginning to end and ensure product/feature is built to spec and achieves project goals.
  3. Elevate the visual design of the customer experience to drive higher engagement.
  4. Contribute to the group’s best practices for UX design while continually advocating design thinking, process, and craft throughout our organization.
  5. Drive design through all phases, from user research and exploratory prototypes to design reviews, delivery, and usability testing.
  6. Collaborate and communicate effectively within cross-functional teams across design, product, engineering, and management.
  7. Advocate for the user experience in all discussions, ensuring that the user’s voice is heard and considered in product decisions.
  8. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies, and apply them to improve the design process and deliver cutting-edge experiences.
  9. Ensure consistency and adherence to design standards and guidelines across all products and platforms.
  10. Present design concepts and strategies to stakeholders and senior management, effectively communicating design rationale and decisions.

A day in the life

The UX Designer will be focused on delivering innovative, customer-forward, business-relevant, and mobile-first CX. While day-to-day focus will vary, work will include:

  1. Designing conceptual sketches, wireframe information architecture, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes and interaction specifications.
  2. Partnering with product managers and engineering on product and feature launches.
  3. Collaborating with product and business teams to inform CX improvements.
  4. Using research methodologies to turn customer feedback into actionable findings.
  5. Delivering high quality creative designs across diverse products and devices.

We care about your career growth too. Once you join the team, you and your manager will jointly craft a career plan and you'll review it regularly to ensure you're on track to meet your goals.
