Data Engineer

A leading commercial bank is seeking a Data Engineer to develop ETL pipelines, data scripts, models and queries.

The role will involve collaboration with data scientists, enterprise architects, product owners and functional leadership to implement solutions aligned with business initiatives.

Salary: Up to $140k base

Location: Manhattan (Hybrid 3-4 days)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines, data models, queries and scripts.
• Explore ways to enhance performance across the entire process, considering the full end-to-end perspective.
• Contribute to data management policies, standards, and procedures. Identify opportunities for process improvement, including automating manual tasks, optimizing data delivery, and enhancing infrastructure scalability.
• Architect and build Cloud-based infrastructure for both real-time and batch ETL processes.

Requirements:

• Hands on development experience with: Python, Spark, SQL, Cloud-based ETL tools, Azure Data Factory/Databricks and Snowflake.
• Expert level capabilities with: Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, ETL interfaces and Data Analytics solutions.
• 5+ Years of experience providing data solutions, architecture, design and delivery, in a Data Engineering role within a large financial institution.
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field- Computer/Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics.
