Responsibilities:
Page is seeking an Architecture Technical Designer to collaborate with our team members for architectural solutions as well as coordinate with design through the construction documentation phase of a project.
Participate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, schematic design, design development, construction documents and production
Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Responsible for coordinating and leading the project production team in developing Live Set and construction documents
Initiate and develop technical level design concepts and details
Coordinate consultants’ work and drawings into production set
Review specifications in conjunction with the senior design professionals
Provide technical assistance to other team members
Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details, etc. as directed by others utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Develops technical solutions to design problems following established standards
Coordinate with the project architect and senior design professionals to develop, modify, and/or review drawings to ensure the incorporation of the design intent
Coordinate as required with multiple team members, consultants and other disciplines for project support
Implement firm’s Quality Management checks and ensure comments are incorporated
Builds BIM models for client/project team review
Performs product research; assists project designers and project architects with materials selection and system research
Maintain electronic drawing files and project file archives
Work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment to produce integrated project documents and ensure integrated design approaches & solutions
Assures document standards are met and archives documents appropriately
May assist team in construction administration document management
Works closely with delivery team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules
Develops a comprehensive understanding of clients’ program requirements and standards and policies for completion
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s level professional degree in Architecture is required.
Minimum 4 years’ experience working at an Architectural firm, full-time
Revit experience
Develops a comprehensive understanding of clients’ program requirements and standards and policies for completion
Basic knowledge of architectural building systems
Ability to apply diverse technical knowledge of architectural design
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to mentor team members
Ability to effectively meet deadlines and deliver results
Knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirements
Ability to use CAD and/or BIM software
Base Compensation: $70,000 - $110,000
(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skills and/or location)
