As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experienced CONTROLS ENGINEER - THIRD SHIFT

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Capable of performing the following manufacturing engineering functions:

  • Process and design for controls engineering, poke yoke programming, tooling, process layout design, quality engineering, ergonomics, and safety.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and program machine controls (Siemens - Step 7, Allen Bradley - Ladder Logic). Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Strong project management skills- able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment controls during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment controls during machine service.
  • Ability to support all shifts as per business needs.
  • Experience with Phoenix PC Works, Inderbus, Devicenet, RS View, Control Logix, and general vision systems such as Cognex, Keyence, etc. . and proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Perform all other tasks as identified by management.
  • Utilize exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to successfully work in a team environment.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a working knowledge of automated assembly systems, a good understanding of the basic theory of industrial control systems applications, design, and operation including concepts of power distribution.
  • Technical Degree in Controls Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Three plus (3+) years of experience and demonstrated success as a Manufacturing/Controls Engineer in an Automotive Manufacturing or Assembly Facility.
  • Experience in training others is highly desired.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
