Job Title: Mechanical Foreman - Piping Projects
Location: Various Sites in the DMV Area
Type: Full-Time
Position Overview:
Our team continues to grow, and we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Foreman to join our piping projects division. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing teams, ensuring high-quality installations, and meeting client expectations on all piping projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional in HVAC piping systems to lead impactful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of piping systems, including refrigerant piping, split systems, and air handlers.
- Manage and direct on-site personnel, including journeymen and apprentices, ensuring efficient and high-quality work.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain project timelines.
- Mentor and coach employees, fostering a culture of growth within the team.
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings for accurate execution of project plans.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client expectations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Piping Foreman in commercial HVAC construction, including design, construction, budgeting, and management.
- Extensive experience with various piping systems; expertise in hydronics is highly desirable.
- OSHA 10 certification required.
- Proven leadership in managing job site personnel, including mentoring and coaching journeymen and apprentices.
- Strong familiarity with mechanical drawings and commercial construction.
- Foundational understanding of building systems and their integration with HVAC and plumbing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Technical School, Trade School, or Apprenticeship Program Certifications are a plus.
