UI/UX Designer (Bothell, WA)
You will join the Ultrasound UX and workflow team, which is dedicated to creating differentiating, delightful, and impactful experiences and designs for Ultrasound. We envision, build, and deliver easy to use and impactful solutions defining the future of Ultrasound (hardware, software, and services) for a range of users in a multitude of environments.
Your role:
As a User Interface/Interaction Designer (UI/UX) Designer for our Ultrasound business, you will support the user experience of embedded, mobile, and desktop software products, contributing to those digital experiences receiving guidance from project or design lead.
- Analysis/research: Understanding the context of the design challenge with empathy to user, stakeholder, business needs and requirements. Ability to apply analytical skills to understand the problem, define an approach and apply diverging problem-solving skills.
- Creation/validation: Contribute to strategies, innovations, solutions and experiences and the user testing and validation of these, considering usability, sustainability and appropriate visual and verbal articulation in line with Design Language System (DLS) and Brand guidelines. Apply and define interface and interaction principles in conjunction with guidance from existing design language documentation.
- Process/delivery: Contributes to project results, executes on scope, drives own efficiency, deliver appropriate design quality within budget and project parameters.
- Collaboration/communication: Collaborate with internal and external resources on project basis; focus on the customer, collaborate, partner and co-create with internal and external stakeholders, with clear and impactful communication and articulation of design decision making.
You're the right fit if:
- You have 1+ relevant internship or co-op experiences with a strong student portfolio.
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, user interface design, interaction design, and/or new media design.
- Your skills include:
- Project experience supporting embedded, mobile, and/or desktop software devices.
- Demonstrable user interface and user interaction designs.
- Customer-centric design process experience (problem statement, persona creation, iterative design process from low to high fidelity designs, customer testing, etc.)
- Strong aesthetic and visual sensitivity.
- Ability to prototype.
- Solid experience with relevant design tools—Sketch and Figma required.
- Industrial design experience, a plus.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You are a strong communicator, and are passionate about innovation, user interface design, design strategy, and overall user experience. You have an affection for healthcare and diagnostic equipment.

Philips Transparency Details
The pay range for this position is $77,224 to $132,384 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more. At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Bothell, WA.
