Engineering Technician I
Purpose:

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Engineering Technician I who supports the switchboard program for NSWC PHD.
• This position is located in Camarillo, CA.

Job Description:

• Builds switches for various switchboards for DDG, CG, CVN and L Class ships following detailed drawings, technical manuals and schematics.
• Assembles switch kits, wire harnesses and switchboard components from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams or schematics for Comand and Control/Interior Communications Systems which includes engraving faceplates and description plates, printing wiremarkers and embossing cable tags.
• Serves as a member of a team supporting Interior Communcations / Standard Module (IC/SM) and switchboard projects.

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have some knowledge of electronics/electrical applications.
• Must be a team player but also be able to work independently.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience reading and applying drawing technical requirements.

Security Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Must have a CAC card and maintain a CAC card.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel- up to 50% including international travel.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. (More information regarding REAL ID can be found: ).

Physical Requirements:

• Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds aboard ships.
