3D Design Engineer
Job Summary
Our team currently has around 65 members and is growing. You will design products, equipment, and complex devices. You will provide problem solving, technical assessment, and continuous improvement support to create, upgrade, and sustain product designs. You will ensure that products are safe, effective, and exceed end-user needs. Fire Suppression systems and solutions for industrial and military application.
Required
• 3 years of 3D modeling (preferably Autodesk Inventor) experience.
• Able to travel at least 1-2 weeks each quarter at our client’s sites all over the US.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Coordinate across different departments or teams within the organization.
• Build large assemblies in Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software.
• Work closely with prototyping engineers to understand key part features.
• Produce BOM’s for manufacturing, installation, and procurement.
• Take on or be part of any other technical/engineering project needed to progress our goals.
• Identify deficiencies and develop improvements.
• Analyze and test prototypes.
• Maintain and update a catalog of released drawings with proper revision controls.
• Develop and maintain standardized drawing templates.
• Produce detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
