Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• 6+ years' experience in mechanical design/solid modeling. Structural, thermal, and vibration/modal FEA.
• DFM experience with machining, sheet metals, and castings.
• Proficiency with analysis tools such as Matlab, Labview, or Python.
• Design experience of X,Y sub-micron accuracy positioning stages.
• Experience in vibration optimization and design for high stiffness to weight ratio.
• Vibration and modal testing using accelerometers, impact hammer, etc.

Desired:

• Semiconductor capital equipment design experience.
• Motion control and servo tuning.
• Implementation/use of high-resolution feedback devices such as encoders and laser interferometer.
• Experience with motors and encoder selection for motion stages.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years.
