Pinpoint Precision Engineering is a vastly growing certified MBE/DBE firm, specializing in Transportation and Construction Management. We lead with a “People Operations” mentality, because we are aware that the insight and engagement of our team members are key to the growth of our company. We are looking for a dynamic Civil Engineer II to join our Pinpoint Family. The Civil Engineer II will be responsible for:

1. Inspecting and monitoring field work daily activities on projects to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.
2. Consults with Project Engineers, resident project representatives and contractors' superintendents on work progress and construction problems.
3. Reviews equipment utilization data and time/cost estimates.
4. Coordinate project assignments.
5. Ability to resolve and recommend solutions to construction related questions and issues.
6. Monitor schedules, change orders, and daily reports.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related.
2. EIT License pursuing P.E. is a plus.
3. IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities (DOCQ) Certification is a plus.
4. CTA Rail Safety Certification is a plus.
5. 2-4 years related work and field experience.
6. Building or Roadway Construction Management experience.
7. Knowledge of State, Municipal, CTA, and Metra systems and operations.
8. Working knowledge of Microstation and e-Builder preferred.
9. Strong written and oral communication skills.
10. Ability to write routine technical reports and correspondence.
11. Fluent with computer software including Microsoft Office.
12. Self-Motivated and Ambitious.
