As an IT Ops/Site Reliability Engineer, what are you going to do?
- Test, deploy and configure new systems;
- Define and contribute to routine system maintenance procedures;
- Proactively identify faults both remotely and at sites. Respond to escalated incidents and guide/perform break/fix activities when errors and faults occur;
- Liaise with the customer when on-site, remotely and proactively communicate with the global ITOps community, providing visibility and insight on escalating issues and identifying areas where service can be improved;
- Provide on-site early life support and training peers and other support teams on the full IT and SW stack;
- Analyze proactively system performance;
- Participate in the development of Technical Support Specialists through supervision, coaching, and upskilling sessions, generating a culture of accountability for actions;
- Create, update, and maintain documentation and contribute to training materials;
- Be compliant with company policies including Health and Safety, Vehicle use, Expenses etc.
What are the skills and professional experience we’re expecting from you?
- Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, AMQP, NTP, SNMP);
- Solid knowledge and experience in automation development (Powershell, Python, Bash);
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab CI, Jenkins and Nexus);
- Solid knowledge in IT security (TLS, Vulnerability assessments, OWASP top 10);
- Understanding of data stream platforms, message brokers and queues;
- Proficiency in English;
- Ability to work under pressure;
- Experienced in problem-solving;
- Availability to travel.
