Job Details
Looking for a Civil Engineer with Geotechnical background or an Engineering Geologist with experience logging, setting up and overseeing various types of subsurface exploration programs, performing liquefaction analysis, shallow and deep foundation design, and slope stability analysis for large civil infrastructure projects. This is not a Technician role.
Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist with review of project needs and initial investigation of site's subsurface conditions
• Plan and oversee the necessary subsurface exploration program in accordance with ASTM and/or Caltrans methods.
• Recommend, oversee, and analyze laboratory test results.
• Perform engineering analysis/calculations and develop report recommendations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering.
• EIT or GIT is required
• PE or CEG is preferred
• Masters degree is preferred
• 4 - 7 years of experience including a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience working in the field logging for geotechnical/geologic projects with an additional 1 to 2 years of experience performing analysis and support report preparation
