Job Description
Title: Electro-Mechanical Technician
Location: Northlake, IL
Shift: Night AND Day 12 hour rotating schedule
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $30-47 an hour
Must have: Maintenance experience with plastic injection-molding machinery
Job Duties:

• Provides mechanical and electrical skills in support of routine & preventive maintenance.
• Supports the shift maintenance team in problem solving & troubleshooting efforts.
• Acts as a problem solving & continuous improvement resource for PLC programming, variable speed drives, electrical & pneumatic controls, mechanical systems, etc. Troubleshoots & repairs production machine equipment and systems.
• Provides input to preventive & predictive maintenance efforts to improve overall equipment reliability.
• Effectively maintains maintenance laptop programs & files.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain Cognex vision system.
• Effectively make electrical connection for most electrical devices
• Successfully transfers electronic files from laptop to motor drives, Fanuc robotics, PLC and/or HMI.
• Effectively troubleshoot industrial equipment utilizing laptop viewing PLC ladder logic
• Capable of interpreting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, & mechanical schematics for troubleshooting
• Effectively troubleshoot all industrial systems, such as electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, & mechanical

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in EHS and/or quality control preferred.
• Ability to work all shifts and perform overtime.
• Future training and/or education may be necessary to further job skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and PowerPoint presentations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Broad experience with most or all of the following required: electrical & mechanical systems, PLCs, pneumatic conveying systems & controls, HVAC, air compressors, profile extrusion, assembly equipment, film unwinds, & injection molding.
• Five (5) years of Industrial Maintenance experience preferred.
• Certificate in Industrial Maintenance or Military equivalent.
• AAS in Electronics or equivalent preferred.
• PLC programming experience is a plus.
• Experience with a computerized Maintenance Management system, such as MP2, would be beneficial.
