Senior Software Developer

The Swift Group is seeking a Senior Software Developer to provide expertise in Software Development using Java and Object Oriented Programming concepts. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Required Qualifications:

• 16+ years of relevant work experience
• Good understanding and experience with JAVA and object-oriented programming concepts
• Very good understanding and experience with relational databases and SQL - does not have to be Oracle
• Experience working with SQL tools like SQL Developer or Toad
• Good understanding and experience using Eclipse IDE
• Familiarity and experience with a J2EE application server platform (Websphere or Weblogic)
• Familiarity with PKI concepts and certificates
• Good understanding of web service protocols and SOAP and REST
• Good understanding and working experience with Commercial Off-the-Shelf software (COTS)
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Good communication skills and can write technical and functional requirements (user stories)
• US Citizenship and an active Top Secret with Polygraph security clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience building GUI applications and understanding of GUI concepts
• Previous experience or knowledge of logistics business processes and policy (procurement, accountable property and inventory)
• Previous experience with an enterprise asset management COTS product
• Maximo or SAP is a plus
