Anduril’s Land Systems team develops software for land-based manned and robotic ground systems, leveraging software infrastructure built by other teams at Anduril. The team is responsible for taking manned vehicles and unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) robots from paper sketches to operational systems. We are looking for software engineers excited about fielding the next generation of software-defined ground combat vehicles.
Modern ground vehicles are complex distributed systems. Each vehicle contains dozens of computers running thousands of processes. The Land Systems Networking team develops the core infrastructure middleware abstraction layer which allows services to communicate regardless of where they physically exist onboard the platform. On this team, you will:
- Design, implement and deploy networking solutions at all layers.
- Craft and implement networking protocols.
- Develop, optimize and support software to manage networking hardware.
- Work directly with customers and product teams to identify network designs and features necessary to achieve mission success.
- Measure and improve system performance.
- Create diagnostic, testing, and simulation tools.
- Review and improve product security.
- Debug issues at all layers of the stack from low-level kernel bugs to cloud networking issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in a broad variety of computer networking topics.
- Excellent algorithmic problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to own software across its entire lifecycle from design to deployment.
- Experience in computer networking, routing protocols, time sync, IPsec/MACsec, systems performance, Rust, Go, Linux.
- Must be willing to travel for test and demo events up to 25%.
- Eligible to obtain and hold a DoD security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with systems with hard determinism requirements.
- Experience with networking protocols and technologies, including:
- Deep experience with existing middlewares (e.g., DDS, ROS, MQTT).
- Software-Defined Networking / SD-WANs.
- Routing protocols (small and large scale - e.g., mesh routing as well as internet-scale routing across autonomous systems).
US Salary Range: $168,000 - $252,000 USD.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
