We are seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Department in Springfield, MA and work as a member of a team on a variety of projects focusing on roadway and traffic design projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Traffic analysis and planning
• Performing traffic impact studies
• Highway alignment layouts
• Conducting speed studies
• Implementing complete streets designs
• Highway permitting
• Corridor modeling
• Construction cost estimating
• Providing transportation support services for large, multi-disciplinary civil/site projects
• Projects include:
  • Public schools design
  • Collegiate/secondary education facility design
  • Rail trail/bike path design
  • Drainage & culvert design
  • Bridge replacement projects
  
  

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
* Typically requires 0-3 years of relevant experience; internship
* EIT registration preferred
* Intermediate skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Synchro; and Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
* Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a plus
* Experience with MassDOT design guidelines is a plus
