We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Utilities Department . This department plays a crucial role in designing a diverse range of utility services, including water, wastewater, electric, telecommunications, and gas. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, plans, and specifications for water distribution and sanitary sewer collection projects.
• Prepare design plans, specifications, and estimates for the relocation or undergrounding of dry utilities such as electric, telecommunications, and gas.
• Prepare technical memorandums and cost estimates.
• Perform utility relocation coordination services for transportation projects.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams on preliminary, intermediate, and final design plans.
• Interact with other departments, clients, vendors, project managers, and engineers to ensure designs are consistent and coordinated.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Registration as an E.I.T. in Virginia is desirable.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in utility, land development, water/wastewater, or transportation engineering design is required.
• AutoCAD Civil3D and/or MicroStation experience is required.
• Able to work independently to perform basic design tasks.
• Must demonstrate teamwork and possess written and oral communication skills.
