CNC Operator

About the Role:
A CNC Operator, working with minimal supervision, is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to fabricate wood parts for mantel assembly. Key duties include reading and interpreting blueprints, safely loading and unloading materials, and using gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Location: On-site in Florence, AL.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Understand and interpret blueprints.
  • Properly and safely load and unload castings and raw materials in CNC machinery.
  • Use gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Understand, interpret, and edit B-Solid programming.
  • Recognize, deploy and properly use inserts, fixtures and tooling.
  • Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets.
  • Perform regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.
  • Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Minimum of two years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Experience in CNC programming preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations as well as apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Physical demands and abilities:
  • Ability to lift 40-50 pounds
  • Ability to work in a warehouse production setting
