AMD's Data Center GPU organization is transforming the industry with our AI based Graphic Processors. Our primary objective is to design exceptional products that drive the evolution of computing experiences, serving as the cornerstone for enterprise Data Centers, (AI) Artificial Intelligence, HPC and Embedded systems. THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for an experienced software engineer who is passionate about improving the performance of key applications. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented engineers and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology.
THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate should be passionate about software engineering and possess leadership skills to drive sophisticated issues to resolution. Able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop software to enable a world class experience for users of AMD accelerator cloud.
- Work cross-functionally (and with the team) to understand requirements and develop product roadmap.
- Communicate plan and progress at a regular cadence.
- Mentor junior engineers.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 10 years of hands-on development experience.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, specifically as it pertains to training large scale AI models.
- Expert knowledge of Python and/or Go.
- Some familiarity with distributed training/finetuning/inference of ML/AI models.
- Ability to write high-quality code with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience with modern asynchronous programming.
- Experience with Linux operating system.
- Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus.
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Motivating leader with good interpersonal skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
