Protecnium ( ) is an international consulting firm specialized in engineering and technical services in construction. We are currently looking for a Project Engineer for a Water Infrastructure Project in Kansas City.
Estimated duration : 12 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the progress of the project. Generally, at the end of a project, efforts are made to move the employee to other projects for continuity.
Main mission :
The Project Engineer will be responsible for on-site project administration, scheduling, and technical oversight. This includes managing engineering activities, coordinating with subcontractors, preparing project schedules, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in the creation and management of the project schedule.
- Ensure designs and specifications are followed correctly.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and monitor resource control.
- Oversee quality standards and conduct site inspections.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Maintain communication with all stakeholders.
- Review subcontractor and owner pay estimates prior to management's approval.
- Supervise cost report management and lead regular review meetings.
- Manage the project document control system.
- Identify issues early and work to develop solutions.
- Prepare all required information for presentation at project reviews.
- Address Technical and logistical issues on-site.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- 4-5 years of engineering experience in similar heavy civil construction projects
- Experience with USACE projects or water infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with earthworks, drainage, concrete, bridge construction, retaining walls or highway construction scopes
- JD Edwards experience is a plus
Working Hours : Monday to Friday, office hours (40 hours per week).
