Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
The Data Engineer designs, implements, and maintains data infrastructure and systems. They collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand their data needs and create efficient solutions to extract, transform, load, link, and/or visualize data from various sources. The Data Engineer III also ensures data governance practices are incorporated into the design and implementation of data-intensive systems. The Data Engineer III receives direction from senior staff and provides supervision and mentorship to subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff. They collaborate with other Data Engineer.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree
- A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM field. 5 years of position-relevant work experience. DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. Vendor tool certifications appropriate to TDL requirements; e.g., Oracle and Mongo.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
