The Senior Engineer will be a pivotal member of the maintenance support team, dedicated to enhancing efficiency within the production plant. As the owner of maintenance support, the Engineer will spearhead improvement initiatives and strive to achieve world-class uptime levels, ensuring the plant runs at peak performance.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and increase uptime.
  • Develop and implement best practices and innovative solutions to minimize meantime between failure (MTBF) and optimize equipment performance.
  • Offer technical guidance to AFTs (area maintenance technician) to rapidly find root causes and implementing corrective actions for unplanned downtime.
  • Manage capital investment projects and advise on facility-based improvements.
  • Develop and implement PLC programs for real-time fault detection, data analysis, and predictive maintenance.
  • Design and implement robot automation programs to streamline production processes.
  • Offer firsthand technical support for plant automation systems.
  • Recommend improvements in internal controls, operating procedures, and business practices.
  • Collaborate with management, engineers, and supervisors to drive production improvements and reduce scrap.
Education & Experience:
  • Four-year degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years' experience in foundry / manufacturing engineering and control techniques is desired.
  • Ability to create, change, and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Proficiency with PLC Logic and experience working with Robot program modifications.
  • Exceptional skills related to foundry and heat treat controls and operational process are desired.
  • Experience working with FTView SE, Intouch Wonder Ware, Archestra, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet and Profibus
  • Working knowledge of RSLogix (all versions), GE Proficy, Omron, Intouch Wonder Ware, and Honeywell HC900; knowledge Archestra Historian and FTView Historian.
  • Self-motivated with an ownership mentality; ability to lead and problem solve.
