Develops, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains computer programs. May provide occasional functional guidance to less experienced Programmer Analysts.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceAssociate Programmer Analyst• 0-2+ years of experience in application programming or system administration• Software development or administration experience and knowledge/understanding of IT principles and development practicesProgrammer Analyst• 3+ years of related software developer or system administration experience• Basic knowledge of software process and application design as well as constructing written use cases, flow diagrams, and system design specifications• Moderate skill set in relational database design, data modeling, reporting analytics and dashboards• Effective decision-making skills• Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing)• Ability to work within a team environment• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasksPreferred• Experience with NMS, OMS and SCADA integrations• Experience with Power BI and Power Automate• Experience with full lifecycle software development (SDLC) methodologies, Agile etc.• Experience developing/scripting with C#, Java, Python and ShellSenior Programmer Analyst - all the above plus:• 5+ years of developer experience.• Strong skill set in relational database design and data modeling• NMS experience including PowerFlow, FLISR, FLA, etc.• Experience in Linux and Windows application interfaces• Advanced experience with OMS and system customizations• Experience with integrations (REST and SOAP) and code deployment processes• Experience with SQL developer and SQL Management Studio• Experience with Visual Studio• Equally effective working independently or in a team environment• Ability to process information quicklyEducation RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:BachelorPreferred Discipline(s): Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, MathematicsOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.Licenses, Certifications, or Quals DescriptionBeneficial for Programmer and Sr. Programmer levels: ADMS, SCADA or Outage Management System administration/developmentWorking ConditionsOffice Work Environment 76 -100%Travel Up to 25%Other Working ConditionsTest DescriptionNo Testing RequiredExport ControlCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
