In this role you will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Design custom automation systems from concept to production.
- Translate customer requirements into technical design specifications.
- Develop electrical systems ensuring optimal functionality and reliability.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and other control devices.
- Test and validate control systems to ensure compliance and performance.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Source and program motors, drives, actuators, robots, and sensors.
- Handle full system programming, testing, debugging, and upgrades.
- Create detailed electrical schematics, panel layouts, and bills of materials.
- Support continuous improvement and stay updated on cutting-edge technology.
Profile
A successful candidate will have the following:
- 5+ years of experience designing and implementing control systems for automation projects.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams for seamless system integration.
- Strong ability to tailor automation solutions to client-specific needs.
- Proficient in documenting control system architecture, wiring schematics, and manuals.
- Expertise in providing technical support during installation and commissioning.
- Advanced programming skills in PLCs, HMIs, and other control devices.
- Experienced with robotics, automation, vision systems, and sensor technologies.
- Proficient in PC networking, device integration, and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- Strong Allen Bradley control software and commercial component selection
