As the site leader of an expanding Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be a driving force behind the manufacture of Penumbra's high volume, innovative products. You will lead strategic vision for this new site and drive teams to ensure Penumbra's life-saving products are readily available and produced with increased efficiency. Pivotal accomplishments for the person in this role will be to build out a robust team, enable the strategic introduction of new products at the site, and lead teams to achieve goals. Working cross-functionally and cross-site with Production, Quality, R&D, and other groups, you will direct the site transfer and scale-up of products. Additionally, you will facilitate the identification of novel technologies and generation of manufacturing efficiency opportunities for our equipment, processes, and products. Your passion to innovate manufacturing processes, results-orientation to push projects to completion, and collaborative leadership will enable Penumbra to transform patient care with our innovative therapies!
What You’ll Work On:
- Establish and execute Manufacturing Engineering strategies stemming from Executive team vision and formed through partnership with peer Leaders.
- Provide engineering support, including line expansion, to Operations with a high level of customer service.
- Empower engineering teams to develop, implement, and monitor processes and equipment for manufacture of products to achieve cost effectiveness and product quality.
- Facilitate robust troubleshooting of problems to determine root causes and implement sustained solutions.
- Service Manufacturing Engineering needs within a global, multidisciplinary workforce.
- Mentor and develop cross-functional team members with the mentality that their success is your success.
- Support supplier management processes and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
What You’ll Bring:
- 11+ years of related experience required.
- 6+ years of engineering management experience required.
- A Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related field.
- Experience in medical device industry strongly preferred.
- A passion for growing and developing high impact teams.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment where navigating grey areas is a welcomed challenge.
- A strong track record of guiding and fostering top performance among team members.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other computer applications.
Working Conditions:
- General office environment.
- Willingness and ability to work on site.
- May have business travel from 0% - 10%.
- Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
- Requires some lifting and moving of up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to move between buildings and floors.
- Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day.
- Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets.
- Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.
- Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.
Location: Roseville, CA
Starting Base Salary: $190,930/year - $256,290/year. Individual compensation will vary over time based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location, and shift.
